Public Service Administrator, Option 9A
Compliance Auditor
Essential Functions
Serves as Auditor or Auditor in Charge on routine and non-routine compliance operational and other management request audits of casinos, casino related licensees, video gaming licensees. Conducts and attends entrance meetings with licensees to discuss the detail, duration, and scope of the audits with licensees. Performs a variety of duties relating to the review of all laws enforced by the Illinois Gaming Board. Assists investigators from other Gaming sections during administrative and criminal investigations regarding financial compliance issues. Assists in development of appropriate statewide Risk Assessments and preparation of audit procedures, manuals, and standards as requested by IGB management. Continues professional development through relevant continuing education, both formal and in-house training. Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, with coursework in accounting, auditing or finance. Requires prior experience equivalent to three years of progressively responsible experience in a public or private accounting or auditing office. R equires certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Conditions of Employment
Pass Illinois Gaming Board’s background investigation (background check). Requires the ability to work overtime. Must comply with the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act: No State employee who works for the Illinois Gaming Board, or spouse or immediate family member living with such person shall, during State employment, hold an ownership interest, other than a passive interest in a publicly traded company, in any gaming license under the Illinois Gambling Act, the Video Gaming Act, the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975, or the Sports Wagering Act. Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: No person shall be employed to serve the Board who is, or whose spouse, parent or child is, an official of, or has a financial interest in or financial relation with, any operator engaged in gambling operations within this State, or any organization engaged in conducting horse racing within this State. Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: For the one year immediately preceding employment, an employee shall not have been employed or received compensation or fees for services from a person or entity, or its parent or affiliate, that has engaged in business with the Board, a licensee, or a licensee under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefers at least 2 years’ experience conducting compliance audits. Prefers at least 2 years’ experience drafting and presenting audit findings both in writing and orally. Prefers at least 2 years' experience using computerized auditing tools. Prefers at least 2 years’ experience using Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
