Job Description
The position involves performing various duties in a small warehouse environment. Responsibilities include picking orders using a cherry picker, material handling with a pallet jack, packing, labeling, and handling shipping and receiving tasks.
Responsibilities- Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers or other divisions.
- Load and unload common carrier and company vehicles.
- Assemble customer orders to be shipped via UPS/LTL.
- Process paperwork regarding shipments, verifying merchandise, applying correct postage, filling out BOL information for LTL shipments, and following customer shipping instructions.
- Gather assembled orders in carts, verify quantities and descriptions, and write total quantity of merchandise being shipped on the invoice.
- Pack each order into a container and arrange the container onto a shelf according to the truck route.
- Verify quantities and items being shipped against the invoice.
- Substitute for other warehouse personnel when needed.
- Use a scanner for the Warehouse Management System, picking orders, and general put away of material after receipt.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to stand on feet for the entire shift.
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs multiple times per shift.
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
- Steel-toed shoes.
- Experience on Stand-Up Reach Truck or cherry picker (preferred), forklift, RF scanner, loading, pallet jack, unloading, shipping and receiving, assembly, order picking, pick, packaging, packing, inventory, production, sit down forklift, RF scan gun, warehouse inventory, general production, warehouse packing, electric pallet jack.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is that of a small warehouse operation. It is not temperature controlled, but large fans are provided to keep it cool. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
