Move Forward with Volt Volt is immediately hiring Linux Systems Administrator in Aurora, CO. As Linux Systems Administrator, you will: System Administrators collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. What You Will Do: • Provide IT systems administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux environments. • Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.? • Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.? Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). • Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users. ? • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned. • Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems. • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours. • Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 5% travel. • Full time 100% Onsite position. This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity. This position requires Active TS/SCI with CI Poly Clearance. The Ideal candidate will have: • Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience • Current and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance prior to start date. • Linux experience. • Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA, CND • Experience administering Red Hat Linux based systems • Scripting experience Preferred Qualifications: • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab) • Exposure to Cloud based web services such as AWS • Knowledge of secure coding practices such as OWASP, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation • Experience with Networking Concepts and architectures • Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify, Anchore) • Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization • Experience developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps framework • Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Bash, Perl, Ruby, C++) • Current DoD 8570 certification (CompTIA Security , CCNA) or ability to obtain within 90 days . Pay Range: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour.
