Job Title: Production Supervisor- 3rd Shift

Job Description

This position will be responsible for the management and oversight of a contract manufacturing operation that includes 3 direct report supervisors and approximately 120 production operators across 3 shifts. The role involves using production and operating reports to manage yield rates, equipment uptime, output, material usage, and overhead rates to meet performance and cost expectations. The Production Supervisor will resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimal cost and prevent production delays. Additionally, the role includes planning direct labor staffing to meet production forecasts, as well as interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee a contract manufacturing operation with 3 direct report supervisors and approximately 120 production operators across 3 shifts.
  • Use production and operating reports to manage yield rates, equipment uptime, output, material usage, and overhead rates.
  • Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimal cost and prevent production delays.
  • Plan direct labor staffing to meet production forecasts.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Plan and direct work.
  • Appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Epicor Vantage ERP
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing
  • Experienced in the implementation of new ERP systems (Epicor)
  • Experience working in a small to midsize company that experienced significant growth
  • Bachelor's Degree
