Job Location: Phoenix, AZ - Fabrication Plant This position is located at: 402 N. 44th Ave Phoenix, Arizona 85043. We can evaluate experience for a higher rate of pay. We will have a 30-day training period to ensure that you are able to demonstrate the level of work you are able to do. Shifts Available and Hours: EOWEO Night shift 6:00PM - 6:00AM. Job Responsibilities: CNC Machinist must have passed the CNC test with an 85% or better grade. Set-up all CNC milling/turning machines in shop. Responsible for maintaining the tooling related to the CNC process. Responsible for keeping a good inventory of spare parts required for the CNC Process. Must be able to produce machined parts to customer specifications, to do this, a tech must have knowledge of tooling (fixtures, vises, or other work holding devices, etc.) Must have knowledge of cutting tools (end mills, drills, taps, reamers, etc). Must be able to interpret blueprints and inspect the work piece with all types of inspection equipment (height gauge, calipers, micrometers, etc). Must be a good troubleshooter and actively participate to analyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Actively shares expertise with others; Acts as Trainer for Operators, Supervisors, and Maintenance, suggesting changes to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Must be able to train and qualify CNC Operators. When conditions dictate, overtime may be required (with little or no prior notification). Education and Experience Requirements: Prior experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is required. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum three years' experience in CNC Mill/Lathe set-up in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Must have working knowledge of M and G codes. Must be able to complete set-ups from blueprints as well as work instructions. Must be able to modify existing programs. Must be able to use hand tools. Must have knowledge of quality measuring instruments such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and indicators. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers in both written and verbal form. Must be able to lift approximately twenty to fifty (20-50) pounds frequently during an eight to ten-hour shift. Must successfully complete a ninety (90) day orientation period.
