Staffmark is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Torrance, CA. We offer multiple shifts to accommodate your work-life balance needs. Pay: $18 per hour
Shift Availability: 1st and 2nd shifts (must be available to work weekends)
As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a crucial role in moving, storing, and organizing merchandise using material handling equipment. You'll operate sit-down and/or clamp forklifts to safely and efficiently move products throughout the warehouse. In addition, you may be required to perform order filler or checker duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Use forklifts, clamp trucks, or push-pull equipment to stack and store merchandise
- Safely unload inbound shipments and transfer products to storage areas
- Pick and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Load products into trailers from staging or storage areas
- Maintain equipment and adhere to safe operation methods
- Keep accurate records for inventory control and security
- Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation
- Perform cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies
- Use RF scanning equipment to maintain inventory accuracy
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of clamp forklift experience
- Ability to stand or walk for 10-12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Forklift certification required
- Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and basic math proficiency
