Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, blood samples, and processing pathology and cytology samples. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to perform data entry accurately.
Responsibilities
+ Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, blood samples, and processing pathology and cytology samples.
+ Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems or directory of services.
+ Complete all data entry requirements accurately, including patient registration and entry of test orders from requisitions or databases.
+ Enter billing information and collect payments when required, ensuring the safeguarding of assets and credit card information.
+ Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test protocols.
+ Perform departmental-related clerical duties such as data entry, inventory, stocking supplies, and answering phones.
+ Verify patient demographic information and ensure tubes are labeled correctly in the patient's presence.
+ Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, such as maintenance logs and temperature logs.
+ Complete training courses and stay up-to-date with the latest phlebotomy techniques.
+ Stay current with company communications.

Work Environment
The position involves significant travel between nursing and assisted living homes. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, starting as early as 6 AM if needed, with most days starting around 7 AM. The workday ends by 4:30 PM. There is a Saturday rotation every 5th or 6th Saturday from 8 AM to 3 PM for pickups. The role includes facilities and home draws. Benefits include a car allowance of $250.00 per month, a gas card, and full benefits.
