Reddy Neumann Brown PC, a leading business immigration law firm, is seeking a detail-orientated and dedicated accounting clerk to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Payment Processing and Invoicing:
- Process and record payments via check, ACH, wire transfer, and online payments using QuickBooks.
- Accurately apply payments to client accounts and invoices.
- Create credit memos and issue refunds as necessary.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all payments received and applied.
- Manage IOLTA Trust Accounts for clients, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Issue checks for government filing fees and legal fees from trust and regular accounts.
- Process payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers, including rent and utilities.
Client Billing and Collections:
- Monitor outstanding balances and initiate collection processes for unpaid invoices.
- Track and troubleshoot payment issues, such as lost checks or payment errors.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of client financial information in line with the firm’s data protection policies.
Coordination with Internal Teams:
- Collaborate with the U.S. and India teams, providing feedback on invoices when necessary.
- Assist with special projects, financial reports, and other accounting tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the firm’s operational and financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client accounts.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, and legal assistants.
- Familiarity with legal billing processes, particularly in immigration law (preferred but not required).
- Experience managing trust accounts (IOLTA) is preferred.
- Skilled in operating computer equipment and general office machines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
