SHIFT OPTIONS: 1st shift 6am-2:30pm
Monday - Friday with occasional weekends
$18.50/hour
Job Description:
Will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is maintained in a sanitary condition according to procedures while working in a team atmosphere
What’s a typical day as a Sanitation Operator?
• Ensures that all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized per SSOPs.
• Disassemble necessary machines to ensure a thorough cleaning and sanitation.
• Reassemble necessary machines once properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Ensures that the appropriate cleaners are utilized and documented.
• Testing the ppm of diluted chemical solutions to ensure proper dilutions and recording the results on required documentation.
• Prepares all required paperwork.
• Ensures cleanliness of production rooms are maintained to standard.
• Operating floor scrubber as needed.
• Operating forklift and aerial lifts as needed.
• “Cleaning” includes but not limited to the plant and equipment, around property grounds, and general office housekeeping.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Guidelines.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, standing for extended periods of time, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must not have a fear of heights.
Required skills:
• Must be able to meet required timelines for cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
• Must be steady, reliable, and conscientious with a willingness to accept responsibility.
• Must have a good work history in addition to good attendance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Prior experience/knowledge of sanitation in a food processing environment preferred, but not necessary.
