Assist with the administration of the maintenance and compliance with the company's integrated quality & environmental management system (Business Management System). Under leadership of the Quality Manager, work with all departments throughout the organization to efficiently maintain and improve compliance to the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards. Manage the corrective & preventive action, internal audit, and calibration programs. Maintain thorough communication on business management system (BMS) needs and requirements and provide training and facilitation to process requirements. Establish and maintain metrics and measurements that relate to the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality system.
Responsibilities- Assist in the maintenance of company-wide compliance to documented quality system requirements and compliance with the ISO 9001:2105 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Conduct and assist with internal audits, as required, to assess the effectiveness of quality & environmental systems, identify weaknesses, recommend corrective actions, and review effectiveness.
- Oversee the corrective and preventive action program. This includes maintaining the corrective action (CA) database, providing support and facilitation to open activity, managing timely and effective closure of activity and effective implementation through follow-up audits.
- Ensure the integrity and oversee that the calibration system complies with the quality system.
- Maintain data collection activities and prepare reports on a periodic basis to represent the effectiveness and efficiency of the business management system. Initiate and recommend improvements to enhance the performance and cost of the overall business management system.
- Manage the review, issue, control, and revision of business management system documentation.
- Support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement activities related to quality systems and other systems assigned.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
- The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline (preferred), or equivalent years of applicable experience.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a quality systems role in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years' experience with ISO 9001:2015 standard and a proven track record in achieving successful certification & compliance audits is required.
- Experience performing internal audits is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001:2015 standard is a plus.
- Structured problem-solving skills and strong corrective action and continuous improvement experience (i.e., 5Whys, Fish Diagram, 8D, etc.).
- ASQ certifications of CQE and CQA are a plus.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting flexibility and professionalism when dealing with changing priorities and assignments.
- Must have excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft and flow chart applications are preferred.
