About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Ground Combat Systems Readiness and Sustainment (R&S) Directorate. Responsibilities Serve as a Senior Inventory Management Specialist with the responsibility for coordinating all required efforts internal and external to the Command to maintain combat readiness and sustainability. Responsible for developing, defending, and monitoring all necessary plans/programs to insure adequate funding for support of the assigned system(s) and customers’ requirements. Represents the Command and provides critical decisions at all meetings involving assigned weapon system(s). Serve as a Weapon System Manager responsible for fielding weapon systems. Serve as a Commodity Manager coordinating efforts to supply a complete system including all repair parts to a customer. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing highly technical supply transactions; analyzing reports, processing transactions, and registering outputs from automated supply systems such as Logistics Modernization Program (LMP); supporting the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP); and conducting supply control studies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Problem Solving Supply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Logistics Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R. This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process. The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly. Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field Position. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet the position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics within 36 months of entrance on duty.
