Job Title: Mechanical Assembly & Test Technician
Job Type: Full Time; Contract-to-hire (12 months)
Location: Lenexa, KS 662191
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shifts available, 4x10
Pay Rate: $19 - $21/hr.
Details:
Schedule: 40 hrs/wk
1ST SHIFT 5:00am – 3:30pm and 6:00am – 4:30pm Mon-Thurs
2nd SHIFT 2:30pm – 11pm Mon-Fri
OT: Saturday OT is mandatory when required.
Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time. At least 50% of the workday will be spent standing/walking.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Works from production/assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components.
Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.
Utilizes small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
Use test stand to test product.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
