Kelly Services in partnership with a leader in precision machines parts, is hiring for multiple CNC Machinist for their 1st and 2nd shift. The role involves producing precision parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines while adhering to quality, efficiency, and safety protocols and maintaining both equipment and supplies.
DETAILS:
- 1st shift: M-F – 6:00am – 2:30pm
- 2nd shift: M-Th- 3 pm - 11: 30 pm, F 2:30 pm - 11 pm
- ???????Optional Overtime for all shifts
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute machining tasks by reviewing blueprints, work orders, engineering drawings, material specifications, and machining parameters.
- Prepare mills and lathes by inputting specific instructions, such as zero reference points, tool registers, offsets, and other parameters; includes solving basic math, geometry, and trigonometry problems to verify part programs.
- Configure mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, and other attachments.
- Validate settings by measuring initial parts and sample pieces to the specified standards.
- Monitor specifications by overseeing operations such as drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and threading; troubleshooting and replacing worn tools accordingly.
- Conduct minor preventive maintenance tasks and notify the maintenance team for more significant issues while completing maintenance request forms.
- Perform other related tasks as required or assigned by the Production Supervisor.
- Ability to comprehend complex concepts.
- Engage in and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills.
- Possess a robust mechanical aptitude.
- Coordinate tooling requirements efficiently.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Proficient in setting up CNC machines independently.
- Can read and interpret blueprints and operate the necessary tools accurately.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Fanuc or Mazak controls is mandatory.
