The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the building process, working closely with engineers and architects to develop plans, & communicating with Superintendents to ensure quality, budget, & time frame meet the clients standards.

Our client offers a complete range of services from kickoff to execution for light commercial projects. They have a proven track record in the construction industry and have become one of the top mid-sized general contractors in the Indianapolis area.

Description

  • Create and manage the project budget, ensuring accurate assignment of cost codes.
  • Develop and mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
  • Review project RFIs and provide the architect with recommended options.
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule, overseeing all change requests.
  • Demonstrate expertise in leading subcontractor project meetings.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among subcontractors.
  • Support business development by maintaining positive client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure quality standards and enforce the project safety plan.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and Project Engineer to ensure timely project deliverables.
  • Oversee the buy-out process and manage project closeout procedures.

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Construction, experience managing multiple projects at a time
  • Multifamily project experience
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
