The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the building process, working closely with engineers and architects to develop plans, & communicating with Superintendents to ensure quality, budget, & time frame meet the clients standards.

Our client offers a complete range of services from kickoff to execution for light commercial projects. They have a proven track record in the construction industry and have become one of the top mid-sized general contractors in the Indianapolis area.

Description

  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with owners, owner representatives, architects, designers, property managers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure clear communication and effective delegation among all team members.
  • Mentor, coach, and train Assistant Project Managers.
  • Oversee financial management for all project phases, including estimating, bidding, cost tracking, and project closeout.
  • Attend pre-bid and site review meetings.
  • Estimate construction budgets and review or prepare bid packages.
  • Lead meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor the performance of project superintendents, ensuring all subcontracted trades meet the highest industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating the scope of work for all trades.
  • Manage owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and associated change orders.
  • Coordinate and document weekly project site meetings.
  • Handle all submissions and inspections required by governing agencies.

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
  • 10+ years of experience in Construction, experience managing multiple projects at a time
  • Ability to run projects from inception through close-out
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
