Facilities Technician II 

Location: Lenexa, KS
Shift: Monday-Friday with occasional weekends

Summary:
Ensure raw materials and supplies are timely ordered, stored, and delivered. Maintain facilities, manage waste, and oversee contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage contractors and vendors
  • Transport hazardous materials (CDL with HazMat endorsement required)
  • Supply raw materials to manufacturing groups
  • Maintain compliance with waste management regulations
  • Keep common spaces in proper condition
  • Ensure availability of breakroom supplies
  • Conduct campus inspections and assist in forklift training
Core Competencies:
  • Problem-solving, client focus, cooperation, performance, accountability, influence
Technical Competencies:
  • CDL with HazMat endorsement or ability to acquire within 90 days
  • Forklift operation, basic Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills, data entry
  • RCRA Hazardous Waste Certification or ability to acquire within 30 days
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Experience: 1-2 years in warehouse, facilities, transportation, or manufacturing desired
Physical Requirements:
  • Read/write in English, visual inspection
Working Conditions:
  • Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions
  • Handle hazardous waste and chemicals
  • Local and highway driving
