Quality Assurance Lead/ Sanitation Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance professional to oversee and enhance the quality of our housekeeping and sanitation services within the food manufacturing sector. The Quality Technician and Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for daily in- process assessments of the integrity and quality of the products are met, as well as ensuring GMP, Food Safety and Audit requirements are achieved. Ensures sanitization of food handling, packaging, storage, and processing facilities and equipment, to meet quality control, food safety, and bacterial control standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a proven track record in managing teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role is critical in maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and service excellence across our facilities. Principal Job Responsibilities: Adhere to all Food Safety, GMP, and PPE Policies, monitor associates for adherence to policies Participate in complaint assessments, supporting completion of investigations and corrective/preventive actions Provide direction in ensuring QA coverage to support production needs Back-up associate for QA Manager, Inbound Quality Coordinator, Sanitation Lead or QA Techs in necessary times Review records for accuracy and completion Recognize and take action to correct apparent discrepancies found in product/process inspection or safety hazards. Notify QA Director when discrepancies are found. Review daily GMP Pre-Operational checklist and GMP daily inspections. Ensure Policies and Procedures are being enforced; provide training as needed Ensure proper storage and use of sanitation chemicals. Prepare cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and chemical concentrations. Measure prepared concentrations accurately to ensure effective cleaning and sanitization. Using cleaning verification swabs to verify the cleanliness of all food contact surfaces, belts, elevators, shakers, etc. and areas immediately adjacent to food contact surfaces, framework, aprons, items directly over food contact areas, and other areas according to established procedures. Ensure sanitation associates are trained to use chemical agents, high-pressure hoses, and other sanitizing/cleaning equipment and supplies safely to clean and sanitize facility work areas and equipment. Ensure team uses appropriate PPE. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet or exceed OSHA standards. Professionally communicate with all departments regarding Quality and Sanitation issues. Maintain accurate Logs and documentation using Excel, Power automate, or ERP system as process defines. Must be available for questions or concerns from other Quality Departments and Regulatory Agencies. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic computer processing skills Ability to read, write and communicate in English General knowledge of HACCP and GMPs Must have the ability to make recommendation to effective resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is in consistent with Company standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law. Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent Specialized training desirable in: HACCP, GMPs, and PCQI Years of Experience: 3 or more years Supervisory Experience desired Physical Demands of the Position: While performing the duties of this position, the employee must possess manual dexterity required for using hand tools and operating machinery; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to stand or walk for prolonged period . Primary scheduled hours 11 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to work in multiple climates and work environments. Proper safety equipment will be provided, but the employee may be required to work in, but not limited to, these conditions: dirt, heat, freezer, smoke/steam, noise, vibration, grease/oil, fumes, dust/shavings, and wet environments; variable temperature primarily 50 degrees F., with occasional work in -10 degrees F. GMP Requirements: Follows all provisions of Paris Foods GMP, Food Safety and Food Defense procedures and processes. Takes ownership of their role in the companys GMP, Food Safety and Food Defense Programs by identifying and elevating any observations in violation of the policies.
