Over 11,000 individuals are served annually across three core service areas of Basic Needs, Economic Empowerment and Civic Engagement.
Description of responsibilities: (Summary of Responsibilities)
The Career Pathways Navigator will provide highly person-centered individualized services to a caseload of approximately 40 participants annually. The Career Pathways Navigator will conduct community outreach, assessment, intake, resource and referral, support persons through training enrollment process and will provide job placement services upon completion of education.
The Career Pathways Navigator will support participants with entering career pathways training leading to employment. The Navigator will discuss educational opportunities for participants to enroll in short term credentialling training programs in several high need industries focused on Minnesota's drive for five initiatives. The Navigator will also provide wraparound case management including support services to ensure that participants are success in their training completion and job search. Additionally, the Navigator will connect participants with work readiness supports, benefits enrollments, and financial coaching through CAPI's Economic Empowerment department programs.

Required experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related Human Services Field required OR a combination of demonstrably equivalent education and experience.
- Two years of professional experience in college/educational counseling, employment/vocational counseling, or other human services area preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations preferred; ability to work effectively with diverse populations required.
- Knowledge of the drive for five industry workforces preferred.

- Ability to pay attention to detail, balance competing priorities, shift focus quickly and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to learn and use a variety of computer programs competently to perform daily work.
- Knowledge of systemic social and economic challenges faced by Immigrants and Refugees preferred.
- Knowledge of educational and community resources preferred.
- Knowledge of DHS and DEED Adult Career Pathways/Workforce One programming preferred.
- Language Skills
- Bilingual communication skills required.
- Ability to proficiently speak/write/read/understand English required.
- Transportation
- Valid MN Drivers' License, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet CAPI's driving record requirements.
