Bilingual HR Generalist

Job Summary:

Located on-site at our new facility in Houston, TX, the HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the plant in all HR functional areas. This position will involve timeclock management, onboarding new hires, maintaining employee records, coordinating company events, and providing general HR support.

Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time, direct hire
- Company: Manufacturing and refurbishment / electronics
- Location:
Denton TX (Northwest of Dallas, FW)

- Pay Rate: $70-75k depending on experience + bonus eligible
- Shift: Day shift (start time between 6-7am), Monday- Friday

Roles and Responsibilities:


 
    • Assist with onboarding of temporary and hourly employees, including preparing new hire packets, badges, uniforms, locker assignments, and providing bi-lingual translation during new hire orientation.
    • Enter new hires into the TimeClock system.
    • Maintain positive relationships with hiring managers and employees.
    • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently to achieve results.
    • Support and collaborate closely with the HR Manager.
    • Will work with staffing agencies, facility manager, benefits, employee hours, payroll for the facility only.
    • Must have ADP (ins and outs) experience to process payroll.
    • Coaching, employee relations, payroll, annual harassment training,
    • T-shirt ordering for production floor employee, attendance, create badges for employees
    • Handle Workman’s comp
    • Coordinate luncheons and company events.
    • Run TimeClock hour reports and send them to managers.
    • Work with production supervisors daily to ensure accurate TimeClock hours.
    • Create new employee files and maintain records.
    • Manage uniform and locker inventory for production employees.
    • Handle employment verifications and Unemployment Benefit letters.
    • Facilitate the onboarding process for temporary employees.
    • Serve as a backup for payroll processing.
    • Assist the HR Manager in enforcing policies.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications & Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    • Must have ADP (ins and outs) experience to process payroll.
    • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resource experience.
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a must.
    • Experience working in manufacturing as an HR Generalist or other plant environment
    • Attention to detail and organized.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Strong multitasking abilities.
    • Works well in a team environment and under pressure.
    • Self-motivated and assertive.
    • Excellent proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
