The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, developing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all materials are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. This role is critical to maintaining our supply chain's reliability, ensuring on-time delivery, and optimizing the cost and quality of goods sourced. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiations, particularly in the electronics or manufacturing industry.

Salary Description: $75000 - $95000

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for materials, components, and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, both domestic and international.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to diversify the supply base and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including production, engineering, and logistics, to understand material needs and project timelines.
- Track and analyze market trends to anticipate changes in supply, cost, and availability.
- Manage inventory levels to balance cost savings and production needs.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, including order tracking and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and government regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the electronics or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex data and make strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems. Experience with MISys Manufacturing MRP software is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
