Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Aviation Logistics & Supply Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of aviation mechanical supplies. In this role, you'll ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the availability of critical components to support seamless aviation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels for aviation parts and mechanical supplies. Anticipate supply needs in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams to prevent shortages. Track inventory through ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and implement automated reordering alerts.
- Procurement and Supplier Management Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs and FAA-certified suppliers. Manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring accurate documentation, including airworthiness certificates (e.g., FAA Form 8130-3). Negotiate supplier contracts to secure cost-effective pricing, warranties, and delivery terms. Conduct vendor audits to ensure quality assurance and compliance with industry standards.
- Logistics and Emergency Support Oversee transportation, storage, and distribution of supplies, maintaining adherence to FAA, EASA, or ICAO regulations. Coordinate urgent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) orders to minimize operational disruptions.
- Compliance and Quality Control Ensure all aviation supplies meet regulatory requirements and traceability standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance and quality benchmarks.
- Data-Driven Procurement Strategy Analyze inventory usage patterns to reduce costs and optimize procurement strategies. Use data insights to streamline ordering processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in aviation logistics, procurement, or supply chain roles.
Knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, ICAO) and industry-standard documentation.
Proficiency with ERP and inventory management systems such as SAP or Oracle. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
