Crate Assembler

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Prepares to assemble wooden boxes, skid cabs, and pallets based on blueprints. Positions boards, plywood, and sub-assembles by using templates or reading measurements. Drill holes at specific areas in the wood using a power drill. Measure and fasten precut wood and plywood to complete projects. Manually assembles wooden crates from pre-cut boards utilizing air and hand tools. Assembles cab skids and pallets from pre-cut lumber. Assists stacking cut boards and plywood to specific sizes. Maintain supplies and inventory handy daily. Maintain areas clean and free of parts and debris. Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or team leader. Required Skills: Must be able to read a measuring tape. Must be able to read blueprints. Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English. Must be able to operate nail guns, screwdrivers, hammers, and hand and air tools. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Must be safety conscious. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Ability to stand for long period of time. Perform recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching. Perform repetitive assembly tasks using basic hand tools with both hands. Ability to work in teams.
