Title: Office Assistant / Administrative Assistant
Location: Flint, MI 48507
Duration: 0-10 week(s)
Shift: 1st Shift (Mon-Sat, 6:00am to 2:00pm)
Pay Rate: $15.35-$ 18.62/Hour on W2.
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate meetings, including travel and lodging arrangements.
Manage calendars for meetings and events for managers and departments.
Prepare presentation materials and ensure all event logistics are in order.
Compose, produce, and maintain documents and relevant databases.
Update and maintain departmental websites.
Conduct independent research and analyze data for reports.
Assist with departmental budgets, process expense reports, and organize filing systems.
Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and greet visitors.
Communicate effectively, screening and prioritizing incoming calls.
Order supplies and equipment, monitor inventory, and request repairs.
Solve routine problems and respond to inquiries regarding departmental policies.
Type and proofread documents produced by others.
Create and maintain data for standard reports, charts, and spreadsheets.
Handle confidential information with discretion.
Qualifications:
High School Education or equivalent preferred.
One to two years of administrative support experience preferred.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong internet research skills and proficiency in computer applications.
Knowledge of office administrative practices and standard report generation.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and basic research skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and listening skills.
Ability to engage effectively with the public in person and over the phone.
Flexible and willing to assist in other departments as needed.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and attention to detail.
Professional demeanor with a proactive approach to process improvements.
Good organization, discretion, independent judgment, and understanding of policies and procedures.
