Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support Chemotherapy Administration Certification Job Details Travel rate is available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/16. RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Target Ratios: 1:6-7 Shift: NIGHTS; Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays RTO: 7 days MAX - NO CHRISTMAS RTO; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48. Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift. Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location. Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED. Unit Specific Information Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history and occasional Chemotherapy administration. Daily Census 42. Typical ratios may be higher during times of increased census. Unit Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR. Unit Orientation: 24 hrs (2 shifts). Scrubs: Navy Blue and white. Additional Details Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed. During times of increased census, typical ratios may be higher. Attendance to monthly staff meetings.
