This position is responsible for internal and external reporting and filing requirements related to the Company’s fixed assets and depreciation. Duties include gathering data, ensuring integrity of company asset records, distributing records, analyzing accounts, and corresponding with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting requirements include the Company’s equity investors, debt holders, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to): Prepare monthly depreciation and amortization entries Review Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) to validate the project as a capital expenditure Maintain fixed asset records including additions, retirements, and book depreciation Gas Plant In-Service (GL101) Support the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts by projecting depreciation and certain O&M expenses Assists in preparing and monitoring of AFUDC calculations and adjustments Assists in preparing FERC’s annual, quarterly forms filings (e.g., Form 2 and Form 3Q), and requests due to rate case Assists in preparing monthly roll forward detail of utility plant, capital expenditures analysis, and depreciation summary Analyze and evaluate costs associated with capital projects, inventory, and excess materials Invoice project costs as required by reimbursable construction contracts Monitor and review Construction in Process (CIP) and work closely with field personnel to ensure timely in-service dates with proper useful lives and asset classifications Carry out routine reporting and analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting of capital expenditures and audit support Support quarterly financial and SOX audits

, monthly reports for projects approved by the Board of Directors, FERC rate cases, and FERC audits Collaborate with project managers to ensure accuracy of charges and timeliness of closure to fixed assets Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline with a minimum of Principles of Accounting I & II completed Entry-level, relevant work experience Entry-level knowledge of accounting practices and fixed asset accounting Ability to sustain motivation while working independently Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment Strong organizational skills Ability to work and collaborate with others across the organization Experience using Microsoft Excel with knowledge of pivot tables and dashboards Experience using PowerPlant or another fixed asset system

Preferred
