Job Title: Accountant

Job Description

As a member of our team, you will be a critical member of the Record-to-Report team that is responsible for the end-to-end accounting of our Lease activity. You will work cross-functionally with FP&A, SEC, Real Estate, and Data Center teams as well as manage the data in our lease software system (Visual Lease). You will be responsible for recording the monthly journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing quarterly reports for statutory reporting. You will also work to make efficiency improvements in the overall process.

Responsibilities

Interpret and implement lease accounting policies

Oversee close process for Balance Sheet activity

Prepare and post journal entries

Perform and support account reconciliations

Support SOX, Audit, and SEC tasks related to lease accounting and general ledger activity

Own lease process start to finish, working with the Real Estate team

Review data on leases, complete monthly journal entries, and run reports and reconciliations

Work with Visual Lease software throughout the day

Essential Skills

Accounting degree

4-10 years of relevant accounting experience within a multinational company

Strong understanding of general ledger accounting

SAP Financial System experience

Visual Lease or Costar experience

Strong end-to-end lease knowledge/understanding

Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Excel

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with the leasing process as it relates to S4

Experience at a large international growth company

Self-motivated individual

Ability to cope with tight deadlines

Strong process improvement skills

Intense attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a high degree of personal accountability

Work Environment

You will be working within the R2R Group, specifically the General Accounting team. There is a potential for an extension or conversion to a full-time employee depending on quality, need, and candidate preference.
