We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in auditing, high-volume general ledger (GL) accounting, and reconciliations. This role requires proficiency in journal entries, month-end and year-end closings, and the ability to work effectively with auditors across various industries.
Responsibilities
Perform audit preparations and assist during external audits.
Manage high-volume general ledger accounting tasks.
Conduct reconciliations with precision and accuracy.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Collaborate with auditors by pulling reports and providing necessary documentation.
Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.
Essential Skills
Audit experience, including preparation and participation in external audits.
Proficiency in high-volume GL accounting.
Strong reconciliation skills.
Experience with month-end and year-end closings.
Ability to prepare and post journal entries.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
2-4 years of experience working with a top 10 audit firm.
Advanced Excel skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with product/equipment industry depreciation, particularly in construction or similar industries.
Work Environment
You will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment that values precision and efficiency. The role involves regular interaction with auditors and requires a high level of organization and attention to detail. The position demands proficiency with Excel and other accounting software to manage and analyze financial data effectively. The work environment is fast-paced, with critical deadlines during month-end and year-end closing periods.
