Human Resources Director
to lead the team at a civil construction company headquartered in Central Ohio. As Human Resources Director, you will guide the people strategy, talent acquisition, and implementation of all personnel policies that align with the business vision, company culture, and organizational objectives. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will maintain primary ownership of all internal HR functions, while also ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state employment practices. Essential Job Functions: Leads the administrative of all human resources and employ relations programs such as recruitment and talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, retirement plans, workers compensation, compliance reporting, and organizational development. Identify, monitor, and resolve any employee issues, conflicts, or performance improvement plans in adherence with company polices. Assists in shaping the organizational structure by aligning people and capabilities with business requirements while ensuring compliance with all company policies, and government regulations. Develop accurate position descriptions, advertise new openings, recruit and hire qualified personnel, and manage new employee onboarding process. Implement new Arcoro applicant tracking system (ATS) to monitor and track hiring practices. Foster culture of talent development, facilitate training, and measure results for effectiveness. Maintain ownership for creating and/or modifying all personnel policies, procedures, and forms, including job descriptions and functional position requirements.
Qualifications include:
BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field preferred. 10+ years of Human Resources experience in a related field. 5+ years of Managerial or Supervisory experience preferred. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including HRIS software, compensation practices, payroll administration, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity and inclusion practices, performance management, HR policy administration, and compliance with federal and state employment laws. Demonstrated organizational development skills - developing and aligning structure, people, processes, and reward systems aligned with business objectives. Experience with Non-union labor contracts is a plus. Strong proficiency with MS Office software, ATS systems like Arcoro, and experience with Viewpoint is preferred. Compensation for this position includes an attractive base salary commensurate with experience, bonus incentives, full medical/dental benefits, 401-K plan, and paid vacation.
