Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative BI Developer to join our uniquely collaborative data visualization and reporting team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SQL, a strong proficiency in transforming complex datasets into intuitive and insightful visual representations, and a deep understanding of healthcare informatics. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to independently lead data-driven projects, driving clinical and operational excellence. This position is pivotal in deriving actionable insights from data, bolstering Parkview Health's commitment to improving the health and well-being of our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage closely with clinical and business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and collaboratively design BI solutions that align with their business objectives.
Leverage Epic Clarity, Caboodle, and BI tools to develop robust analytics solutions such as reports, dashboards, and data extracts, enabling informed decision-making.
Maintain data quality, adhere to standard protocols, uphold data governance principles, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Prioritize efficiency, scalability, and easy maintenance. Develop thorough documentation, ensure a seamless user experience, and obtain stakeholder approval.
Develop subject matter expertise in Epic Data Models and BI Tools, cultivate collaborative team dynamics, and mentor colleagues to collectively enhance knowledge and adopt best practices.
Provide service excellence to customers, empowering self-service reporting and facilitating understanding, analysis, and communication of data insights.
Propose and implement enhancements to BI processes, tools, or methodologies, working closely with team leads and the BI manager to foster innovation and streamline workflows for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
Apply advanced problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and system-related challenges, ensuring data integrity, optimal performance, and user engagement.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field creating reports and dashboards from both relational and dimensional data models.
Epic EMR Certifications for Clinical Data Model track required.
Proficiency in Tableau required.
Competent in intermediate to advanced SQL querying techniques for in-depth data analysis.
Proficient leveraging analytic solutions and platforms (e.g., Excel, Crystal Reports, Qlik, Databricks, SAP Business Objects, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent customer relations skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand and communicate complex issues effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Significant experience in a healthcare setting or working with healthcare data.
Epic EMR Certifications for Revenue Cycle or Access Data Model tracks.
Advanced certifications and experience with industry-standard and cloud-based analytic solutions and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Databricks, AWS QuickSight, Azure Synapse, Google Data Studio, etc.)
