Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility:

Prepare, reconcile and audit various electronic accounting records, reports and statements. Perform daily monitoring of bank liquidity and other operational accounts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

With or without reasonable accommodation must be able to perform all essential job functions as described below. Maintain and reconcile bank and general ledger accounts. Prepare periodic certifications. Assist in preparation of external financial, operating and regulatory reports (SEC, Call, FRY, DFPI, FDIC, FRB, etc.). Perform GAAP research, as needed. Prepare schedules and assist in compiling information for audits and exams. Assist with the calculation of monthly tax provisions and quarterly deferred tax. For holding company and subsidiaries, identify and process appropriate accounting entries dealing with accruals, investments, fixed assets, payroll, correspondent bank accounts and miscellaneous asset and liability accounts. Maintain fixed assets subsidiary ledger and ensure it remains in balance with general ledger. Prepare internal operating and status reports for management. Calculate and monitor bank liquidity, purchase/sell Fed Funds, as appropriate, post entries and maintain positive status with correspondent banks and Federal Reserve Board accounts. Compile/review schedules for monthly board package. Minimum Qualifications to Perform Essential Functions Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheet functions. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Aptitude for data research and analysis. Aptitude for detail and organization. Ability to interpret financial data and identify correlations. Knowledge of database concepts and data extraction. Ability to perform essential job functions under general supervision. Computer proficiency, including Windows and Microsoft Office Suite products. Proficiency at speaking, reading and writing English. Experience and/or Education: Four-year degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or five years of equivalent training or experience. Demonstration of leadership abilities, preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, preferred. Excellent benefits package for eligible employees and their families.
