Job Title: Sr. Accountant
Job Description
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Provide financial analysis and support for special projects as needed.
Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
Analyze any changes in goods or services provided to determine what effect it has on the cost.
Hard Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
Strong understanding of GAAP principles
Cost Accounting 3 years experience
Soft Skills
Self Sufficient
Ability to internally communicate cross functionally
Job Type
This is a 6 month contract-to-hire.
