Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Assistant Project Manager that will utilize leadership and engineering skills to coordinate design tasks and manage support staff. An Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the review of various technical aspects of land development projects as well as providing proposal and budgetary support services to the Project Manager (PM). An Assistant Project Manager will work within AutoCAD Civil 3D as well as other engineering software to review other team member's designs, in order to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines. Responsibilities

Oversee the technical accuracy, use of standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various plans, reports, and design documents. Assist the PM by managing and/or reviewing the development of design tasks, such as conceptual planning, detailed grading, and drainage designs associated with civil engineering construction projects to ensure value engineering is achieved. Coordinate detailed earthwork analyses to ensure the overall site is balanced. Complete a final ordinance review, organize utility service research, assist with outside agency responses, and perform site visits during construction to evaluate issues. Hold a leadership role in the review and design of stormwater management & stormwater conveyance systems including use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and other stormwater design software in coordination with other team members. Perform the technical review of stormwater management calculations, including detention basin design, inlet and pipe capacities, profiles, etc. Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions to peers and management. Perform technical review of PADEP Chapter 102 and Chapter 105 permits, including: NPDES permits, General Permits, and other technical aspects of the design. Assist the PM in preparing proposal scopes, project schedules, change orders, and overall client management. Able to work independently on multiple projects as well as lead other engineers in a team environment. Function as a mentor for junior staff, including technical training, as needed. Ensure the company's standard AutoCAD procedures for layering, details, etc. are utilized. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) License, required. 8+ years of civil engineering experience. Experience in land development, required. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and the ability to mentor junior staff to enhance their design skills. Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail with exceptional analytical and judgment capabilities. Construction oversight, preferred. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations (PA). Advanced technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development related designs. Dedicated, responsive, and organized. Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
