ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reviews and processes federal and state grant reimbursements Reconciles accounts, prepares invoices and reports and completes special projects Evaluates program procedures for effectiveness, develops and implements modifications Conducts compliance reviews and monitors grant programs and projects
Examples of Duties
UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION
Prepares and processes grant reimbursement draw sheets and requests Provides technical assistance regarding grant activity, reimbursements and required funding source reporting Monitors reimbursement processing compliance with grants management policies and procedures Reviews and monitors reconciliation of grant cost centers, awarded amounts and funding source reporting Prepares grant reconciliations accurately and in accordance with prescribed deadlines Prepares correspondence and documents and completes special projects Monitors compliance to grants management policies and procedures Conducts desk reviews of grant recipients reporting for compliance with grant agreements and metro policies and procedures Assists with coordination of funding source audits and reviews Assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of corrective action plans based on audit findings Develops and maintains communication and effective working relationships with metro departments and external agencies and organizations Performs related work
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree Accounting Business Administration Economics Finance Public Administration Related field
WORK EXPERIENCE One year of finance, accounting, budget preparation, budget analysis or financial analysis experience
EQUIVALENCY An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
