Business Analyst

Position Overview The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements for IT projects and enhancements related to LNG-specific applications. The BA works closely with business users, developers, and IT teams in an Agile environment to ensure successful project delivery. This position focuses on supporting applications critical to LNG operations, including data integration, analytics, and reporting, while ensuring alignment with business needs. Location : Houston, TX (Onsite M-F, flexible hours) Type : Contract Key Responsibilities: Business Requirements : Gather, document, and manage detailed business requirements for custom application development and enhancements. Agile Practices : Actively participate in sprint ceremonies, including planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Collaboration : Work closely with developers, project managers, and business users to clarify requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. Testing Support : Collaborate with QA to test applications and assist with user acceptance testing. Knowledge Transfer : Engage in training and knowledge-sharing activities with business users. Adaptability : Take on additional responsibilities as needed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Qualifications Education : Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Experience : 7+ years as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment. Experience with integration and reporting projects. Familiarity with LNG industry applications is highly desirable. Technical Skills : Experience working with LNG-specific technologies or projects desirable. Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira or similar technologies for documenting and tracking requirements. SQL, Crystal Reports, or Business Objects Web Intelligence development knowledge is a plus. Soft Skills : Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Comfortable in a dynamic and evolving team environment.
