Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to help own critical functions within the rapidly growing Last Mile org within operations.
This Senior Finance Analyst will focus on Infrastructure Expense, Under-the-Roof Labor, Headcount, and Weekly Cost Reporting for AMXL's Last Mile Operations. This role is more than finance: it requires ability to invent, go beyond the standard business rules to “experiment” and “conceive” together with FP&A and business partners to produce sustainable financial reporting and analysis.
As a member of a growing team, you will deal with a high level of ambiguity and changing priorities. The successful candidate will maneuver through the ambiguity, communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following abilities but not limited to:
Competency in technical skills to drive automation and standardization of reporting and modeling
Comfortability working with extensive amounts of data and systems
Eagerness to understand business drivers and network/partner with stakeholders
Deep dive extensive amounts of data to draw insights and assist the business
Look beyond what is present and find ways to tell stories from different or deeper perspectives
Key job responsibilities
Perform financial reporting and financial modeling
Partner with supply chain partners with the goal of optimizing the capacity plan
Leverage various data and automation tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Excel formulas, Tableau, etc.
Build meaningful reports and models at different granularities that can provide actionable insights.
Consolidate financial plans from multiple input providers for month end close and quarterly financial reporting
Maintain internal team and business partner relationships
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
