We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical skills, proficient in Excel, and have a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our financial operations, ensuring precision in account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting. Your role will also include maintaining professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Your Role:
Maintain the general ledger by preparing and posting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other adjustments as needed.
Process and code intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and completion of intercompany reconciliations.
Prepare, review, and submit journal entries, adhering to established policies and timelines.
Assist in the financial reporting of foreign branches by preparing necessary documentation for external auditors and managing VAT filings.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, identifying key insights for management.
Oversee the fixed asset schedule, ensuring accuracy in additions, disposals, and adjustments.
Support the team with various accounting-related tasks as they arise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in accounting or a similar role is preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of accounting software.
Meticulous in completing tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
Strong analytical skills to identify trends and inconsistencies in financial data.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to communicate professionally and build strong working relationships within and across departments.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
