Whether you are a Senior or Staff Accountant, you will play an integral role in accurately preparing our client’s accounting records and performance.
As a
Senior Accountant
your typical day may involve:
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Conduct variance analyses, providing detailed explanations for differences between actual and budgeted figures.
General Ledger Management
Oversee and manage the general ledger, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining supporting documentation.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records by performing monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
Month-End Close Process
Lead aspects of the month-end close process, including preparing adjusting entries and reviewing reconciliations.
Collaborate with the accounting team to close the books on time and address any discrepancies or issues.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Support audit preparation and provide documentation and analysis for external auditors.
Cross-Functional Support
Work with other departments to provide financial insights and ensure alignment on accounting policies and procedures.
Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as needed to support management and operational initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and strong Excel skills.
Knowledge:
Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with general ledger functions.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential.
