Phoenix Proconnect is representing a client in Fort Lauderdale that's currently looking for a senior accounting analyst.

Senior Financial Accountant Responsibilities:

Overseeing the daily operations of the Finance department including month and end-year processes, General Ledger management, capital assets reconciliations, debt activity, fixed asset and lease activity, and batching. Supporting the Controller in workflow process improvement and pursuing special projects. Ensuring finance team members meet all financial reporting deadlines. Aligning all accounting processes with GAAP. Maintaining the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial data and transactions into the ledger. Managing the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries. Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of month-end close and reports. Assisting in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements related to the Company's debt securitization and debt covenant compliance. Supporting tax accountants by gathering and providing data. Assisting the Auditor, Controller, and other financial professionals in their duties as needed. Preparing financial reports such as cash flow statements and accounts payable and receivable aging lists. Creating reports to track and analyze trends in business performance over time. Assisting in preparing budgets and forecasts for future financial performance of a company or organization. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. 5+ years of relevant experience preferred. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside of the company. Strong team skills enabling interaction with the entire organization. Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases (QuickBooks required, Sage Intacct a plus). High attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with financial reporting requirements.
