Follow Trident on the Web at www.tridentseafoods.com or on social media on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube or LinkedIn Summary: The Sr. Project Manager - Refrigeration will assist the Division Manager in capital planning, R&M projects, and executing training programs for HVAC and Ammonia Refrigeration systems throughout Alaska. This individual will be responsible for planning, execution, risk management, communications, project budget and financial controls of entire or assigned aspects of projects across a broad range of stakeholders, as well as providing supervision to other project managers or vendors as needed. Oversees the completion of assigned project activities and milestones according to schedule, budget and within quality standards while maintaining good partner, customer and vendor relationships in accordance with Trident Seafood's Core Values Assists in maintaining compliance with PSM program, following standards and protocols set forth by Div. Manager Refrigeration Monitors, enforces and maintains job safety for the project by supporting and participating in all safety programs, ensures all team members are using required safety equipment and continually monitors the job site to ensure safety requirements are met in accordance with Trident Seafoods safety polices Creates a detailed project execution plan (PEP) which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project Develops and maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in conjunction with the team to monitor and measure project results and effectiveness Develops, coordinates, and manages project planning and scheduling to ensure that deliverables are consistent with the required scope of the project Monitors, reviews and controls project costs to ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with established goals Provides project status and financial updates to the project steering committee on a regular basis. Reports significant deviations from the budget to the project on a timely basis Manages vendor partners as needed, to ensure their work is being performed according to the schedule, budget and set expectations Provides leadership and guidance to the project team members on assigned activities to optimize team effectiveness Participates in development and implementation of IIAR 6 inspection program throughout Shore Plants in Alaska Ensures all regulatory requirements are met including federal, state and local requirements for permitting, environmental impacts, worksite safety, etc. Additional Responsibilities : Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings Employees working in Alaska are advised to have medical insurance coverage which is valid in the State of Alaska. Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs): BA in project management, engineering or equivalent; or 10 years directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ Years of experience with Refrigeration and/or Refrigeration Project Management Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Preferred education and experience: Six Sigma/Lean experience or certifications Project management certifications Experience managing remote teams preferred Current RETA (Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association) certification preferred AK fisheries or Food production experience preferred.
