This role would be on site full time for training, and then once completed would be on a 3 days in, 2 days WFH schedule!
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTANT
Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, andproper coding of transactions to the general ledger.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank statements.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements,including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Manage grant accounting, ensuring compliance with grant agreements and reportingrequirements.
Track grant expenditures and prepare invoices and financial reports for grantors.
Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and budgets.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE ACCOUNTANT *****
General Accounting experience
Grants experience is a huge plus!
Non-profit experience is a plus!
Attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
