Inventory Control Specialist will report to the Department Lead and will be responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse, ensuring all incoming aviation parts are brought into, and maintained in serviceable stock that meets the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and industry requirements. They will maintain accuracy of the inventory and all spares rotable parts. This role works closely with: Purchasing Department: Receiving and cost discrepancy. Accounting Support Department: Ensuring all incoming inventory is received in an accurate and timely manner. Safety and Quality Departments: Ensuring safe warehouse operations and FAA compliance. Maintenance Managers and Aircraft Mechanics: Ensuring delivery of parts on time and communication delays. Other GMR Air Company Supervisors: Will coordinate and maximize efficiencies of the department. On-Call duty 1 week a month. Hours 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. RESPONSIBILITIES Receiving all incoming parts, verifying invoices / packing sheets / physical quantities. Inspect all aviation parts for serviceability and traceability to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and industry requirements. Facilitate shipping support for all outgoing materials by verifying products are within expiration dates and in serviceable condition prior to shipping. Packaging products to ensure integrity of product and guard against damage or loss of product. Ensuring shipping methods comply with maintenance delivery times and hazardous materials regulation guidelines are met before arranging appropriate shipping of products. Maintain inventory stock levels. Maintaining a high level of attention to cleanliness and 6s standards in inventory storage locations. Returning parts/cores, as necessary. Performs periodic physical inventory counts and audits to ensure appropriate quantities of items are stocked in the correct locations. Resolve inventory discrepancies between systems and physical counts, including, stock checks, cycle counts, research and correcting displaced, mislabeled and missing products. Organize stock on shelves per system specified zone and bin locations and using FIFO rules, identifying obsolete and expired products, and ensuring warehouse is well maintained and staging areas are clearly defined. Process all material requisition by accurately picking and processing orders for any issued document and proactively escalate supply issues directly resulting in work stoppages and grounded aircraft. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Two years' experience with supply chain concepts Advanced computer skills, preferably experience using a computer-based inventory tracking system. High school diploma or equivalent. Aviation industry experience preferred.
