We are seeking an Accounting Clerk for our operations based in Walnut Creek, California. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing accounts payable and receivable, doing data entry, processing invoices, and using Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure all invoices are processed correctly and efficiently
• Regularly update and maintain customer credit records with utmost accuracy
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes
• Use QuickBooks for financial management and operational tasks
• Assist in data entry tasks as required
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary
• Maintain a university degree level understanding of accounting principles and practices.• Possession of a University Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Proficient in Data Entry, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in Invoice Processing, with an ability to handle high volumes of invoices
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and macros
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with various departments and levels of management
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data and create financial reports
• High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Willingness to continuously improve and adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
