Job Summary:
The Material Handler plays a crucial role in supporting Production by moving, transferring, and pulling orders essential for operations. This position involves performing inventory transactions in Oracle and delivering products to production to ensure work orders are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stage materials in designated areas and maintain organization at all times.
- Keep a clean work environment while performing Material Handler duties.
- Operate forklifts, walkie riders, order selectors, or pallet jacks as needed to deliver materials to Production areas.
- Pick and pull materials from the warehouse or Kanban areas while executing Oracle transactions.
- Weigh, verify, and stock returns from production back to warehouse or Kanban locations.
- Ensure accuracy by verifying Part, Lot, Quantity, and location when pulling for any location.
- Move finished goods from the staging hall to the warehouse to keep areas clear.
- Perform label control to verify that all information is correct.
- Reconcile work orders, ensuring correct materials are issued and all transactions are completed.
- Conduct daily cycle counts and zone counting as instructed.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
- Execute shift tasks as required.
- Pull and transact move orders and material requests.
- Address Oracle errors as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year or more of related experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Forklift experience is required.
- Oracle experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, perform basic calculations, and navigate complex computer programs accurately.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Open availability with the ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule if needed.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires travel of less than 5% of the time.
- Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a clean room environment.
- Must be able to sit, stand, or kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to use a computer or touchscreen to enter work order data.
- Occasionally required to move and lift objects up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to work around automated robots and heavy equipment.
