Overview
Bowhead seeks a Program Manager to support an upcoming effort in Port Hueneme, CA.
Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate the delivery and performance requirements
• Submit all required reoccurring reports to the Government Customer and ensure all performance metrics are met
• Ensure Risks, Issues, Opportunities (RIOs) are captured and communicated to the Government in a timely manner
• Manage all contractor personnel for meeting the requirements and performance objectives
• Manage and direct activities of large multi-disciplinary engineering and programmatic support groups
• Develop complex engineering and operational program plans to address needs and requirements, investigating and resolving problems, interfacing with other functional support groups and outside personnel, preparing capital and operating requests, managing Subcontractors’ staff, and executing program plans
• Organize and direct work, and directing personnel and multi-discipline teams to achieve objectives
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, M.B.A or other Technical Degree
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA III in Program Management
• Certified SCRUM Master or Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile Certified Practitioner
• (20) years relevant experience supporting U.S. Navy Combat and/or Weapon Systems
• (5) years Program Management experience running a large support services contract with subcontractors
• Experience providing task direction, policy guidance, employee development and related services to personnel under the supervision
• Experience with cost, schedule and performance as it relates to program execution
• Experience identifying and/or acquiring qualified personnel with appropriate combinations of education, training and experience to meet required tasking requirements
• (3) Years Experience in Budget forecasting and execution
• (3) Years Experience with Earned Value Management reporting
• (3) Years Experience in identifying technical and programmatic risk areas and in developing and implementing risk mitigation plans and/or strategies
• Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Familiarity
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication and Briefing Skills
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
