**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Operating Room
**Job Specialty:** Surgical Services - Operating Room
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** 12-Hour Day Shifts, 3x12 Hours
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week
**Experience:** Minimum of 3 Years
**License:** Required
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NRP
**Must-Have:** - Minimum of 3 years of experience - Preop and PACU experience preferred
**Job Description:** - Manage surgical services with a focus on Operating Room duties - 2 suites available, only 1 operating concurrently - Handle around 4 cases per day on Mondays and Wednesdays, primarily colonoscopies and endoscopies - Tuesdays are dedicated to GYN surgeries with 3-4 cases - Fridays involve approximately 5 cases - Handle common cases such as Choles, Appendectomies, Hernia repairs, Abdominal hysterectomies, Hysteroscopies, D&C, Colonoscopies, Endoscopies, C-sections - Collaborate with the L&D RN as backup during surgeries but will be primary backup if necessary - Work closely with a small, cohesive team emphasizing cooperation and mutual support - Perform duties across Preop, PACU, or OR, with assignments given a week ahead - Expected to remain on-site even if no surgeries are scheduled to assist with expiry checks and ER support if needed - Adhere to call requirements with around 14 days of call per month, including weeknight and weekend shifts - Participation in holiday call requirements - Required to respond to calls within 30 minutes - Float between Preop and PACU; may assist in other departments if surgeries are not scheduled - Provided with surgical scrubs - Orientation includes 2 days in OR and some training in Preop/PACU if applicable - Utilize Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient for electronic medical records - Understand that housing may be challenging in the immediate area; nearest significant housing availability is in Boise
**Additional Notes:** - Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidates. - The work environment is generally slow-paced except on Fridays. - Candidates are encouraged to work cooperatively within this small team setting.
