Steampunk is seeking a IT Asset Manager responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of IT assets within the organization, ensuring accurate tracking, effective utilization, and cost efficiency. This role plays a key part in establishing policies and procedures for IT asset management, compliance, and optimization.

Contributions

Asset Lifecycle Management:

Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.

Manage the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets.

Vendor and Contract Management:

Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and renewals.

Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and contractual obligations.

Policy and Compliance:

Develop and enforce IT asset management policies, standards, and procedures.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

Budget and Cost Optimization:

Monitor IT asset-related expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Provide insights into asset utilization to inform budget planning and forecasting.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Work with IT, finance, and procurement teams to align asset management practices with organizational goals.

Prepare and present detailed reports on asset status, utilization, and financial impact.

Technology and Tools:

Manage and enhance IT asset management systems and tools.

Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in asset management.

Qualifications

Required:

Authorized to work for any U.S. employee and ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance

Excellent interpersonal/communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Strong understanding of IT procurement, software licensing, and inventory management.

Preferred:

2+ years of experience in IT asset management or a related role

Proficiency in IT asset management software (e.g., ServiceNow, FreshService, Ivanti, or similar tools).

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $175,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
