Position: Personnel Security Specialist
Reports To: The Customer and Project Manager
Clearance Type: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
Work Location: Ft. Meade, Maryland
Advantage SCI is seeking a PersonnelSecurity Specialist to be considered for employment. This individual shall supportthe Personnel Security Division in assessing, validating, and certifying thetrustworthiness of DIA and designated DoD-affiliated personnel for clearanceaccess to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) through case management,adjudication, to include due process in an accurate and timely manner.Additionally, this support requires experienced and professional PersonnelSecurity Specialists to support the Continuous Evaluation System (CES) as CESScreeners.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with application of ICD704and EO 12968; and SEAD 3, 6 and 7 which addresses reporting requirements,continuous vetting/evaluation, and reciprocity.
• Knowledge of and ability to meet DNIand IRPTA timelines and skilled in prioritizing competing tasks whilemaintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Familiarity and experience utilizingScattered Castles, eQIP, JPAS, JVS, DCII, and CVS; initiating and scoping, T5Rbackground investigations; use of DPRIS, OPM Portal; performing National AgencyChecks and Credit Checks. Knowledge and experience determining when a securitycase is complete and prepared for adjudication to include coordinating withother officers and determining the need for additional investigativeinformation.
• Use judgement and experience to conductand/or collect national agency checks to complete an investigation foradjudicative review. National agency checks may consist of, but not limited toinvestigations, incident reports, continuous evaluation, continuous vetting,and T5R background investigations.
• Strong writing skills to includeexperience and acumen in crafting analysis of data collected
• Experience understanding exceptionscodes, such as waivers, conditions, and deviations.
• Understand difference betweensuitability determinations and security clearance determinations.
• Experience creating, managing, andclosing cases in appropriate security systems of record.
• Excellent written and oral reportingskills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels ofthe organization and customers across geographically dispersed sites.
• Possess a TS/SCI and successfullypass CI Poly.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite,particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Experience working in DIA a plus.
• Must have a valid certification of completion inPII and Cyber Awareness Challenge from Information Assurance SupportEnvironment (Only valid within 30 days of hire). To obtain the certification,visit http://iase.disa.mil/eta/.
