What You'll Do:

• Prepare and file federal tax forms, including 990, 990-T, and 4720, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze potential unrelated income for state tax liability and oversee multi-state tax returns (sales, use, property, income, and franchise).
• Manage sales and use tax accruals, handle audits, and address compliance inquiries.
• Reconcile membership-related accounts, allocate membership costs, and support internal grant reporting and foundation reconciliations.
• Complete critical audit schedules and financial statement notes.
• Oversee and reconcile contributions, pledges, and planned giving accounts.

What We're Looking For: Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting and tax compliance, with specific Form 990 experience.
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of GAAP and tax accounting.
• Familiarity with automated accounting systems.

Preferred:

• CPA license.
• Experience in nonprofit accounting and tax law.
• MS Dynamics accounting software experience.
