What Youll *****
Prepare and file federal tax forms, including 990, 990-T, and 4720, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Analyze potential unrelated income for state tax liability and oversee multi-state tax returns (sales, use, property, income, and franchise).
Manage sales and use tax accruals, handle audits, and address compliance inquiries.
Reconcile membership-related accounts, allocate membership costs, and support internal grant reporting and foundation reconciliations.
Complete critical audit schedules and financial statement notes.
Oversee and reconcile contributions, pledges, and planned giving accounts.
What Were Looking *****
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of experience in accounting and tax compliance, with specific Form 990 experience.
Strong Excel skills and knowledge of GAAP and tax accounting.
Familiarity with automated accounting systems.
CPA license.
Experience in nonprofit accounting and tax law.
MS Dynamics accounting software experience.
