Production Planning and Scheduling Create and maintain a master production schedule that aligns customer demand with production capacity. Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure timely material availability and efficient resource use. Capacity Planning Evaluate and adjust production schedules to optimize equipment, labor, and materials. Address potential bottlenecks or capacity constraints and propose solutions. Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstock or shortages of raw materials and finished goods. Ensure material deliveries align with production needs by working closely with the procurement team. ERP System Maintenance and Data Integrity Maintain the accuracy of production and master data in the ERP system to support effective scheduling. Ensure data integrity by regularly updating system records and troubleshooting any discrepancies. Financial Revenue Forecasting Assist in developing both annual budget forecasts and monthly revenue forecasts by aligning production schedules with sales projections. Provide production capacity and output data to help ensure accurate financial planning and forecasting. Reporting and Analysis Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production and scheduling efficiency. Use data analysis to forecast production needs and adjust for demand fluctuations. Collaboration and Communication Serve as the central point of contact between production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams. Communicate any schedule changes or production issues to all relevant stakeholders promptly. Continuous Improvement Analyze scheduling performance to identify and implement process improvements. Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Risk Management Identify potential risks to the production schedule, such as equipment or supply chain disruptions. Develop contingency plans and adjust schedules to mitigate risks. Compliance and Quality Control Ensure production schedules comply with industry regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with quality assurance to integrate checks without impacting timelines. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing industry (pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or personal care preferred). Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Desired certifications: APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM. Knowledge: Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with regulatory compliance in an FDA regulated, cGMP manufacturing environment focused on personal care and OTC drug manufacturing. Skills: o Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and scheduling software. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. o Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple production schedules and projects effectively. Basic knowledge of financial forecasting and budgeting related to production operations.
